Charlie Noble Death, Bracklinn Falls, Callander Obituary – Community Mourns the Loss of 16-Year-Old

The community of Callander and Denny is grieving the tragic loss of 16-year-old Charlie Noble, a pupil at Denny High School, who drowned at Bracklinn Falls on Thursday, May 28. Emergency services recovered Charlie’s body after a major response that included helicopters, ambulances, fire crews, and police.

Charlie was reportedly with a group of friends celebrating the end of exams when the accident occurred. His sudden passing has left classmates, teachers, and the wider community in deep shock.

Paul Dunn, head teacher at Denny High School, expressed the school’s sorrow, saying: “We are heartbroken at the loss of one of our much-loved pupils following a tragic accident at Bracklinn Falls. Charlie was highly valued by pupils, staff, and the wider community. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends at this distressing time.” Support services have been made available to pupils and staff to help them cope with the grief.

Police Scotland confirmed the incident and emphasized that the death is not being treated as suspicious. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Tributes have poured in on social media from friends, neighbours, and community members. Gillian Noble wrote: “My Charlie Noble RIP my boy ..x,” while others shared memories of Charlie’s warmth and kindness. One neighbour said, “My wee neighbour. Haven’t been able to get him out of my head all day.”

Charlie’s life, though tragically cut short, clearly left an impact on everyone who knew him. The Denny and Callander communities continue to grieve while honoring his memory, keeping him in their thoughts, and supporting his family during this incredibly difficult time.
